What is conscious breathing?
Breathing is an autonomous function of our body that will continue without our paying any attention to it. However, we can become conscious of our breathing pattern by observing how we breathe. With training, we can correct any less than optimal patterns in a very conscious way through various exercises. These optimized breathing exercises open up our body/mind/spirit to a freer, fuller way of breathing.
What are the types of breathwork that you practice?
In my breathwork sessions, I utilize a specific pattern of continuous, circular breathing. This technique, based on ancient Eastern wisdom, serves to open us up, and free ourselves from restricted emotional patterns. Because these harmful patterns can be stored deep in our subconscious, this process can be extremely liberating as we contact and breathe through these hidden feelings.
What benefit does this bring?
We can open ourselves in this process and become more attuned to our authentic self. We can often forgive ourselves and others, thus creating more freedom and openness in our lives. We realize our oneness with each other and all of creation. Our experience is often one of increased awareness of our true self, and of the Divine within us. We release fear as our true self emerges, and we experience our oneness with that Divine energy and all creation.
